The nature of additive manufacturing means there are no real economies of scale. 3D printing provides a very inexpensive model for short runs but it cannot compete at unit price level with mass produced items; we therefore refer to it as low volume manufacture.
What do WE mean by “low”? Well one is low and we are happy to do that. Probably anything up to 250-300 units qualifies as low, depending on size. Once you get to the thousands, without any economies of scale 3D printing is probably not going to be cost effective for you.
It is difficult to be prescriptive in advance without having an understanding of a job. We will never turn you away without consideration and can only say that we would always work with you to decide which is the best solution for you.
